Local Spotlight: Cups & Memories — A Different Kind of Pause in Hood River
“Some places don’t need to be explained; they need to be felt.” Cups & Memories (CyM) is one of those places. Opened on August 23rd, this new tea-forward spot sits in the old Lake Taco location between 12th and 13th Streets. Ironically, for a city known for its winds, CyM rests right in the “eye of the storm” — the calm spot in the middle of the Heights’ one-way island. Just far enough back from the road, the small, colorful building offers a still moment between the noise and the wind, with a cozy interior where time seems to slow the moment you walk in…

Tartines with Ricotta, Micro-Greens & Limoncello Vinaigrette

The classic combination of lemon and ricotta gets an elegant lift from a splash of limoncello and a sprinkle of flake salt, making it just as lovely on a crisp fall morning as it was in summer.
