f I’m really, really quiet I can almost hear the collective sigh of relief as everyone across the Gorge peeks outside and stretches toward the sun. Who knows how long this beautiful weather will last - let’s enjoy it while we have it. Here are your Thursday Tidbits for this week.
 
Events

• The weather couldn’t possibly be better for the annual Hood River Cider Fest this Saturday, April 29, held this year at the Hood River Event Site from 11am-7pm. 
•  Find some of your local favorite breweries at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center for the first annual Birds & Brews Fundraiser for the raptor department. Meet the raptors and chat with the brewers from pFriem Family Brewers, Freebridge Brewing, Everybody’s Brewing, and Working Hands Fermentation. April 29 6:30pm-9pm
•  Yoga + Beer this Sunday at Gorges Beer in Cascade Locks, there are still a few spots left. This Yoga + Beer event will begin with a 60 minute all levels, flow yoga class, taught by local yoga instructor, Lexi Stickel. After class, yogis are invited to stay and enjoy a pint. $23 for Yoga + your first pint. $17 for yoga only. 
•  Blossom Brunch April 29 at 11am. Celebrate spring and The History Museum with a brunch and talk. Special guest Peg Lalor shares how she created the one-of-a-kind Gorge Games in the 1990s. The Games attracted world-class athletes to the Columbia River Gorge to compete in events like windsurfing, kiteboarding, mountain biking, adventure racing and much more. Brunch catered by Chef Kathy Watson | Cost: $45 
•  The Chef’s Collective Summer Dinner Season schedule at the Ruby June Inn is out. The dinners are sold out but there is a waitlist. 

​Little Bits

• Make sure to pre-order your cheesecakes for Mother’s Day from Ingrid’s Cheesecakes and Pastries.
• Dani’s Kitchen Shop is offering donut baking and cookie decorating classes in May. All classes are sold in pairs and designed for kids to participate.
• Grasslands Barbecue is bringing back Cherry Limeade slushies to celebrate this patch of beautiful weather! Find them at the Hood River Farmers’ Market this Saturday starting at 10am.
