Heat Wave Update (Monday Edition)

The heat just keeps coming... here's a list of what's open and closed today, June 28, 2021 (Monday).

• Grateful Vineyard (Reserve a table online! Indoors is open and has AC)
• Red Carpet
• Double Mountain Brewery & Cidery
• Pho River, takeout only, may close early, owners have not made the call yet
• Riverside is open but plan ahead. The restaurant does not take reservations or call-ins to be added to the waitlist. Last night, the wait for 4 at 7 p.m. was about an hour. However, the bar is first come-first serve with a limited menu. We were able to grab a table there in about 5 minutes and several others opened up while we were eating. Service was slow since there was just one server for the bar, but that's probably going to be the case just about everywhere. Many places in the Gorge are experiencing staffing shortages.
