Thursday Tidbits

The flavors of late summer are blending beautifully into fall here in the Gorge — from fresh-hop beers and orchard fruit to cozy lattes, hearty barbecue, and a few Save-the-Dates. Here’s what’s new and worth checking out:

What’s New & Delicious

  • The Wagon Social Club (Mosier): The Tucci Sandwich is back — rustic baguette, ribbons of prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, pesto, and lemon-dressed arugula. Open daily 11–5, 1104 1st Ave.

  • Grasslands Barbecue (Hood River Waterfront): Weekend special: Smoked Brisket Burgers — 1/3lb patties rolled in black pepper, cold-smoked, and seared. This weekend only, along with their full menu. Hours update: weekends through Oct; Saturdays only from Nov to mid-Dec.

  • Ruby June Inn (White Salmon): Possible last-minute seats for the final Chef’s Collective dinner of the summer, this Saturday with Chef Avery Adams of @matia_kitchen (Orcas Island).

Drinks & Fresh Hops

  • Kailea Coffee Co.: (Cascade Locks) Cozy up with Sweater Weather, Warm n’ Fuzzy, Maple Pecan, and more warm fall lattes.

  • Kings & Daughters Brewery: Celebrating 4 years with Full Dance Card anniversary beer, plus a Mirage Beer collab (8.6% double IPA). Stay tuned for their new Hood River taproom The Walled Garden.

  • Double Mountain Brewery: (Hood River) Killer Red & Killer Green fresh hops are pouring now + refillable bottles. Fresh Hop Iowa Bar Fight IPA collab with Solera Brewery drops soon.

  • Pixan Taqueria & Cantina: (White Salmon) Sip on their refreshing Paloma (tequila, grapefruit, lime, soda). As they put it: “Some say it’s Mexico’s true national drink. We just say it’s damn good!”
