3 Rivers Grill - Sushi Tower

3 Rivers Grill Sushi Tower

Mother’s Day weekend is shaping up beautifully across the Gorge, and with sunshine, spring blooms, and patio season calling, there are plenty of delicious ways to celebrate.

Quick reminder for tonight: Full Sail Brewing is hosting a Brew Dinner featuring Citrus Shrimp Ceviche, Miso Salad, Grilled Salmon, and Lemon Olive Oil Cake. Seatings are available from 5–8 pm, and reservations are recommended.

3 Rivers Grill shared a look at a special Sushi Tower they’ll be offering this Sunday for moms and families to enjoy together. Layers of rice, salmon, ahi tuna, nori, and sliced avocado are topped with crispy rice noodles, seaweed salad, sesame seeds, teriyaki sauce, and Volcano sauce. Reservations: (541) 386-8883.

Still in need of a Mother’s Day plan?

  • The Gorge White House for local wine, cider, and beer flights, plus u-cut flowers, berries, and food carts, a lovely spot to wander on a sunny spring afternoon.

  • The Grateful Vineyard, where Mt. Hood towers over blossoming fields while wine, cider, beer, and artisan pizza flow all weekend long.

  • Grasslands Barbecue, now open Sundays at the waterfront starting at 11:30 am. This Sunday’s special? Tri-tip, cold-smoked for hours and finished over coals — one of their all-time favorite smoked meats.

Looking for something hands-on? Pine Street Bakery is hosting a cake decorating class this Saturday, May 9, led by Molly Lais of @nature_cakes. Learn how to stack, frost, and decorate a beautiful bouquet cake beginning at 6 pm. Seating is limited, and sign-ups close Friday, May 8. Email “Cake Class” to info@pinestreetbakery.com for details.

On Sunday, AniChe Cellars will host a “Pamper Mom at AniChe” celebration with hair sparkles, wellness services, flower crowns, artisan pop-ups, and wine tastings (reserve your wine tasting spot).

Over at Riverside Restaurant, seafood season feels fully underway. Fish n’ Chips and calamari pair perfectly with river views and local pours like Ferment Brewing’s La Ventana Mexican Dark Lager and pFriem’s Tropical Hazy IPA.

Feast Market in White Salmon has added a new dish to the menu: Grilled Spanish Octopus with Peppadew almond relish, roasted paprika potatoes, and grilled leeks.

Kings & Daughters has a fresh new beer on tap: Dock of the Bay, a 5.3% Soft IPA layered with peach, lime, and tropical passion fruit notes for an easy-drinking spring pour.

Solstice Pizza has a new pizza special this week featuring wood-fired Walla Walla sweet onions from Killer Tomato Farm, bacon, mozzarella, garlic oil, house-made ranch, and house-made potato chips — a pizza team collaboration celebrating some truly beautiful spring onions.

And for those craving something lighter and plant-based, Golden Goods Sandwich Shop has brought back its seasonal Buff Cauli Wrap in downtown Hood River.

Here’s to longer evenings, spring flavors, and finding a little extra time to celebrate the moms and mother figures around us this weekend.
