Feast Market Mushroom Gnocchi

Feast Market & Delicatessen Mushroom Gnocchi

A little of everything for this week — openings, seasonal returns, beer debuts, and a few delicious reasons to mark your calendar.

Opening Soon & Seasonal Starts

  • Love & Hominy (Hood River) opens this Friday, February 27! Set those reminders and head in for their globally inspired tacos.

  • The Gorge White House (Hood River) reopens for the season on Saturday, February 28 — a sure sign that spring isn’t too far off.

  • Looking ahead to March: Pearl’s Place Fruit (Hood River) will open for one day only in March on 3.14 for PIE DAY — featuring discounted items, personal pies, and more.

  • Packer Orchards (Hood River) will also be celebrating Pi Day with Pies & Petals on March 13 and 14 for their Pi Day tasting weekend!

Food & Drink Features Around Town

  • Celilo Restaurant (Hood River) is serving a beautiful cheese trio — local and international selections paired with sliced local fruit, preserves, house-made lavash crackers, and baguette.

  • The Cauldron Café (Hood River) has pho this week (chicken or vegetarian).

  • Feast Market (White Salmon) is offering Thursday BOGO Mushroom Gnocchi (in-house only, 5–8 PM). They’ve also brought back their breakfast sandwich: spinach & chive frittata, white cheddar, tomato, and your choice of bacon or ham on buttery ciabatta.

  • Dessert call: Bridgeside Dining (Cascade Locks) is featuring classic carrot cake and a berry crumble.

Beer & Wine News

  • Debuting Friday at Backwoods Brewing: Campsite Crisp, a Helles lager brewed by their new brewer, Bobby. Available at the pubs starting Friday — paired with burger specials to celebrate. (Carson)

  • Ferment Brewing now has Lost in Fragaria in 16oz cans to take home. Bigger cans, same strawberry magic. (Hood River)

  • Freebridge Brewing has canned their THRESHER West Coast IPA. (The Dalles)

  • Jacob Williams Winery is now serving double espressos and cappuccinos. It’s also last call for their 2022 Cabernet Franc and 2022 Malbec — both nearly sold out. (Wishram)

Mark Your Calendars

  • Double Mountain Brewery will celebrate its 19th Anniversary March 13–17 in downtown Hood River — five days of special releases, live music, Irish food, and a proper St. Patrick’s toast.

  • pFriem Family Brewers will host a Spring Beer Dinner on Saturday, March 14 (4–7 PM) in the “Whimsical Woods” of their Barrel Aging & Blending Facility in Cascade Locks. Enjoy a tour, then a curated four-course dinner with seasonal beer pairings from Head Chefs Dustin Frohnauer and Bradlee Keach. Tickets available at pfriembeer.com/events.
