Thursday Tidbits

Pine Street Bakery’s Tiramisu Cruffins

There’s a lot to step out for this week. Longer days, seasonal dishes, vineyard strolls, midweek pizza nights, and a few standout sweets worth the detour are just some of the surprises in the roundup for this week’s tidbits.

AniChe Cellars (Cook–Underwood) invites you to slow down and savor April with vineyard walks, garden parties, and Gorge Club Share perks. Mark your calendar for April 11 for Hecate’s Key Garden Party (estate wines + crêpe bar), and April 19 for a vineyard walk and tasting with Anaïs—an immersive way to experience Gorge terroir.

Other Gorge Club Share wineries joining the fun:

  • Double Strand Wine

  • Mt. Hood Winery (Sip & Sound Thursdays return this month)

  • Willow Wine Cellars (now open with a new outdoor tasting space, weekends 12–5pm)

Tierra de Lobos (also participating in Gorge Club Share) has officially opened a tasting room in Hood River (111 2nd St, Suite 300). Keep an eye out for grand opening celebrations later this month. Current hours:

  • Thurs–Fri: 3–8pm

  • Sat: 1–8pm

  • Sun: 12–5pm

In The Dalles, Cousins has brought back their Cherry Cinnamon Rolls—available Fridays through Sundays in April. Just in time for the Northwest Cherry Festival, which returns April 24–26.

At Henni’s Kitchen & Bar in White Salmon, asparagus season has arrived—paired with stracciatella, pistachios, and a generous drizzle of EVOO.

Pizza Leona, also in White Salmon, is serving a Community Pie with a Pesto base, fresh mozzarella, bacon, balsamic-dressed arugula, and fresh tomatoes.

Working Hands Fermentation (Hood River Heights) is bringing the heat with their Spicy Margherita Pizza (a must for pizza + spice lovers) every Wednesday. Not in a pizza mood? Their Wednesday small plates are worth a look—especially the new Honey Roasted Carrots with burnt eggplant yogurt, nduja, hot honey, and toasted almonds.

T-Quito El Hambre taco truck keeps Thursdays easy with $2 tacos (asada, chicken, carnitas, chorizo) plus agua fresca. Now available on DoorDash. Find them near the old Hood River News building.

Kaile’a Coffee Co’s Banana Nut Matcha

On the sweeter side:

  • Pine Street Bakery (Hood River) debuts a Tiramisu Cruffin (espresso mascarpone cream, ganache, espresso sugar)

  • Nativ Café (White Salmon) has cake again—look for Honey Cake and Turnip Cake

  • Kaile’a Coffee Co. (Cascade Locks) has a Banana Nut Matcha topped with mac nut cold foam

Looking ahead, Draper Girls Farm Stand is bringing back Cider Fest—now a two-day event on May 2–3:

  • 16 hard ciders on tap

  • Hard cider slushies

  • Non-alcoholic sparkling cider

  • Non-pasteurized cider options
