Fresh, Local, and Now Delivered: Meet Gorge Farmer Collective

Eating locally doesn’t have to mean rearranging your weekend or waking up early for the market—and it doesn’t have to be all or nothing.
For some, shopping local is a way of life. For others, it's something they'd like to do more often—if only it were a little easier.
That’s where Gorge Farmer Collective comes in.
This collaborative of small, sustainable farms in the Columbia River Gorge (and nearby areas) makes it simple to bring fresh, seasonal, locally-grown food into your kitchen directly from local producers—with online ordering, weekly pickup locations, and now, home delivery in select areas.
Whether you're a dedicated farmers market fan, a casual home cook, or just someone who wants their food to be a little more flavorful and a little more local, Gorge Farmer Collective offers a convenient way to eat with the seasons, support local growers, and discover what’s fresh in your own backyard.
What is Gorge Farmer Collective (GFC)?
GFC is a farmer-owned online marketplace consisting of small, sustainable farms and food producers across the Columbia River Gorge.Their mission? To bring the best of the Gorge’s fields, pastures, and kitchens directly to your door—or a nearby pickup site.
This summer, GFC launched home delivery in select areas—making it even easier for Gorge residents to eat locally, even on busy weeks.
We recently received a GFC delivery and filmed an unboxing reel with the help of local dream team, Jen Dillard of JDRE Team and Lalo Garcia of Laylow Films to share the experience (watch it on @hoodrivereats). Our box featured a colorful and inspiring mix that included everything from carrots to pears, plus:
Heirloom and cherry tomatoes
White cucumbers
Salad greens and microgreens
A crusty sourdough loaf
Handmade pasta and pesto
Prosciutto and hazelnuts
And a 10 lb box of Red Haven peaches
We turned it into a peach and cucumber salad, a fruit cobbler, a vibrant pesto pasta bowl, and a charcuterie board.
How It Works
Customers can shop online at GorgeFarmers.com
Choose from a wide range of products: produce, meat, eggs, bread, pasta, snacks, pantry items, even flowers.
Select weekly pickup at one of several regional locations, or opt for their new home delivery option, now available in select areas (see the map below).
Every week brings new seasonal offerings, and there’s no minimum order or subscription required. (There is a flat fee of $10 if your order is under $150.)
Try It & Save
Use code HRE20 at checkout for 20% off your first order. It’s a great way to try it out and see what local, in-season eating can look like for your household.
Why It Matters
Eating locally isn't just about what’s on your plate. It’s about choosing food that reflects the place you live and the people who grow it.
When you buy through GFC, you’re directly supporting small farms, reducing transportation emissions, and keeping more food dollars in the local economy. You're also getting peak-season produce that hasn't traveled far to reach you—and that freshness makes a difference.
