Feast Market and Delicatessen Filet Mignon
October has arrived, and with it come new fall flavors, fresh harvests, and plenty of seasonal fun around the Gorge. Think chanterelles, cozy lattes, hearty specials, cider season, and pumpkin patch adventures. Here’s what’s on the menu this week from limited specials, to all-season menu additions and more.
TONIGHT! Until it sells out: Feast Market is serving filet mignon with Yukon Gold potato purée, miso blue cheese cream sauce, and charred broccolini.
Backwoods Brewing has updated breakfast hours at the Carson pub: now Friday–Sunday, 8am–11am. No more Mondays — but don’t miss it! Their menu runs from Dutch babies to breakfast pot pie to biscuits and gravy.
Mary Hill Winery is harvesting more than grapes at their Goldendale tasting room — look for a bounty of wild chanterelles featured in their Chanterelle Mushroom Orzo. A perfect match with a glass of Classic Semillon.
Wilderton Aperitivo Co.’s handcrafted aperitivo is being served at Riverside. Try their a non-alc Bouche Mordu! Made with their Bittersweet Aperitivo, coconut water, strawberry preserves, lemon, pineapple, and mint. Cheers!
Fall into flavor at Stoked Coffee Roasters. Cozy seasonal specials are here — from pumpkin spice lattes to maple cinnamon magic. Come sip the season!
Ferment Brewing says fall just got extra special and announced their “renovated” ESB is back.
Crush Cider Café can build you a custom 6-pack on the spot. Want five cans of their new apple cranberry cinnamon hard cider and one can of Jamaica? Done.
Love and Hominy have a Thai Iced Tea to die for and worldly tacos served in any combo. New special: Czech Beef Goulash — rich, hearty, and limited, so get it while it lasts.
Riverside Hood River is offering two new lunch salads: the Wedge salad and the Beet salad.
Mt View Orchards, is in full fall mode with a pumpkin patch, pumpkin pies, u-pick apples, farmstand, cider and beer, and Grateful Vineyard winery. They also sell in bulk, and there’s no fee to visit the pumpkin patch.
Packer Orchards brings the fall magic, from the corn pit and maze to the giant hay slide and other kids’ activities, from the famous apple cider donuts slathered in cinnamon to the over-the-top decadent caramel apple nachos…. There’s something amazing for everyone who visits.
Hood River Farmers Market is the only year-round market in the Columbia Gorge.

This weekend:
The Hood River Orchard & Ale Festival (former Hops Fest) takes over the Event Site on Saturday, Oct. 4, 11 am–7 pm. Fresh hop beers and fall ciders will be flowing.

It’s time to start thinking about plans for Thanksgiving Dinner. Some establishments are already taking reservations, like Simon’s Cliff House at the Columbia Gorge Hotel & Spa. (They also serve brunch daily.)
