Everybody’s Brewing’s Arugula Snap Pea Salad

If you've been waiting for peak summer eating, this is it. Heirloom tomatoes are taking center stage, peaches are arriving, refreshing drinks are everywhere, and local kitchens are making the most of the season. Here's what caught our eye this week.

Peak Tomato Season Has Arrived

Heirloom tomato season is officially underway, and Killer Tomato Guy has been delivering gorgeous local tomatoes to several Gorge favorites, including Solstice Pizza, Celilo Restaurant & Bar, Edeske Patisserie, and Analemma Wines. If you've been waiting for peak tomato season, this is your sign to make dinner plans.

Solstice Pizza is celebrating with a beautifully chilled Gazpacho made with heirloom tomatoes from several local farms, cucumbers, red peppers, onions, sherry vinegar, saffron, paprika, and basil oil. It's silky smooth, vegan, gluten-friendly, and just about perfect for a warm summer evening.

Celilo Restaurant & Bar is showcasing the harvest with a fresh Caprese featuring heirloom tomatoes, mozzarella, cucumbers, pesto, basil, olive oil, and sea salt.

New Summer Menus & Fresh Finds

Everybody's Brewing has rolled out plenty of fresh summer dishes, including an Arugula Snap Pea Salad, Mediterranean Chicken Wrap, BBQ Pulled Pork Plate, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Pickled Plate, and their popular Bacon Jam Burger.

Over in Klickitat, The Hive is serving authentic Argentinian-style pizza, homemade empanadas, and a house-made Argentinian flan topped with rich dulce de leche—the perfect sweet finish.

Pixan Tacos is launching a new menu beginning Friday, July 24, including a new Chicken Mole special.

Over at Spinning Wheels Brewing Project, River Pillow Day Pale is back on draft and in cans. At 4.2%, it's an easy-drinking summer favorite.

AniChe Cellars is also offering a behind-the-scenes look at one of its latest blending trials with a sneak peek at the team behind its upcoming big reds: Goat Boy, Atticus, and the newest addition, TYGER TYGER.
